Description

Plants 50-90cm high. Corm depressed-globose with tunics of coarse fibres. Leaves linear, 3-veined, with a long terete, false petiole;leaves usually dry at flowering. Flowers in a dense spike, tubular, scarlet/orange, perianth tube 30-40mm long, tepals unequal, the upper three larger. Bracts dry. Tritoniopsis (Snake Flower) = resembling Tritonia
