Description

Plants mostly 20-70cm high, deciduous. Red tuberous roots. Leaves usually hairy, pleated and linear to lanceolate. Flowers in lax to dense panicle, pale yellow to apricot often having dark markings, lightly scented. Bracts papery or membranous, usually recurved. From: E.J.von Wachendorff, Professor of Botany and chemist in Utrecht during 18th century.
