Description

Total length about 65cm, tail 30cm and weight averaging over 900g. Overall a dark grizzled grey. Occuring in all habitat types and frequently seen along the coastal cliffs. Diurnal, terrestrial and solitary. Fairly omnivorous, feeding on insects, mice, small birds, eggs, reptiles and spiders. They take cover in holes in the ground, under rocks, or in thick vegetation.
