Description

These secretive birds are only seen when they hop to the edge of the thicket. The birds have a large repertoire which is used in duet. The bird is sooty black above, with a conspicuous white wing-stripe, a whitish throat and rufous belly. Found in dense bush and tangles in coastal and riverine bush. Common resident.
