Description

This beautiful, active and vociferous little bird is found among large trees along rivers, forest fringes and well wooded hills. The whole head, crest, mantle, throat and breast are metallic green-black in the male. The femaleís nape and throat are grey. The rest of the upper-parts and tail are bright rusty-orange. The maleís tail is more than twice the length of the body. Uncommon summer visitor.
