Description

A magnificent large black eagle with a white “V” on its back. A resident pair nests in the adjacent Vogelgat Private Nature Reserve and Fernkloof Reserve is included in their large hunting territory. They may occasionally be seen flying along the mountain crests in search of prey, mainly small mammals. Uncommon resident.
