Description

A wary bird which keeps to the higher rocky slopes. The male has a grey crown and back streaked black, a black face, throat and upper-breast with a broad white eyebrow and malar stripe. The wing is black with white spots and bars, the rump chestnut and the longish tail black with white tips. The female’s colouring is duller than the male’s. Uncommon resident
