Description

Male: in breeding it is entirely metallic green with yellow pectoral tufts and long central tail feathers. Non-breeding male is yellow below with speckled green feathers and sometimes without the long tail-feathers. The female is yellow-grey with a dusky tail, edged white. Both sexes have very long, de-curved bills. The largest of the sunbirds. Common resident.
