Description

Plants 15-30cm high. Bulb globose. Leaf dry at flowering, solitary, erect, cylindrical. Flowers mostly white with dark keels, crowded in slender racemes, pedicels 5mm long, opening during the day, tepals 4mm long. From Greek: drimys, acrid or pungent. Parts of plant poisonous or an irritant.
