Description

Plants of varying size, 10-40cm high. Bulb covered with soft tunics, producing extensible threads when torn. Leaves 4-6, dry or green at flowering, spreading to prostrate, strap-like, 4-10mm wide, dull green. Flowers pale to dep pink, margins undulate, 1-8 in loose umbel, tepals lanceolate. From: Nerine was a sea nymph, daughter of Doris and Nereus, a sea god.
