Description

A low-growing sprawling much-branched plant, up to 10-15 cm tall when supported by surrounding vegetation and spreading to 1 meter. The leaves are thin-textured and divided into linear segments with incised margins and sparsely covered with erect hairs. The small, dainty flowers, two to five, are dark to pale purple in colour, and are borne on conspicuously long flower stalks. The pollen of the four fertile stamens is orange.
