Description

A perennial, often found in dense stands. Has reddish tuberous roots. Plants up to 2m high. Leaves hairless, pleated and lanceolate, to 80mm wide. Flowers bright golden yellow, are hairy and borne in clusters on delicate side shoots of a thick, hairy stem. From: E.J. von Wachendorff, Professor of Botany and chemist in Utrecht during 18th century.
