Description

A smallish, mostly white gull with grey back, black wingtips and dark red bill and legs. When breeding there are traces of a pale grey hood. They become very tame around human habitations, feeding on scraps, bathing in urban ponds, etc. In water they forage by wading in shallow water. Common resident.
