Description

Plants 30 - 40cm high. Corm globose with papery tunics aging into vertical fibres. Leaves linear, c. 2mm wide, with short blades, leathery without visible veins. Flowers red with a yellow throat, in 1-4 flowered, flexuous spike. From Latin: gladiolus, small sword: = shape of leaves
