Levaillantís is the common pond and streamside cisticola, frequenting waterside sedges and edges of reed-beds. The crown is bright chestnut, the back is black, scaled light greyish buff. The face, eyebrow, and under-parts are buff white and the tail rusty brown. Common resident.
