Description

Plants 15-30cm high. Leaves dry at flowering, solitary (rarely two), terete, firm and erect, about 1.5mm diam. Flowers in flexuous raceme, pedicels 5-10mm long, brownish with opaque whitish edges, musty scented, opening in late afternoon and at night. hesperantha = Gk hesperos= evening star; anthos=a flower > 'evening flower'
