Low

Flowering time

August to January

Description

A single-stemmed, rounded shrub up to 1,5 m high with horizontally drooping branches. The leaves (20-80 min long, 20-45 min wide) have a rounded tip with up to six glandular teeth. Flowerheads (100-200 min wide) are yellow, orange or crimson and are borne at right angles to the stem. This is a popular garden subject. Much of the heads' appeal and beauty undoubtedly lies in the long, stout styles and their very prominent pollen presenters which produce the pincushion effect.
