Description

Plants up to 1.8m high. Rhizomatous. Leaves terete(circular in cross-section). Flowers yellow, enclosed by green to purple spathes, arranged in small head of 2 - 20 relatively long individual clusters. Bobartia from: Jacob Bobart, d. 1719, first curator of the Oxford Botanic Garden.
