Description

Plants erect and slender up to 35cm tall. Leaves linear, numerous and arising from the stem. Inflorescence fairly loose, flowers greenish-yellow. Lip anchor-shaped and horn-like rostellum arms (a rostellum is a specialized sterile organ between stigma and anther, serving to separate the two organs and thus preventng self-pollination). Ceratandra from the Greek: keras, a horn; aner, a man: = horn-like arms that carry the pollinia
