South-facing sandstone slopes.

Flowering time

December to May, after fire.

Description

Plants 10-25cm high. Bulbous geophyte. Leaves 1-5, dry at flowering, spreading, linear, 2-7mm wide, channeled. Flowers red, 4-5cm long, tubular to narrowly trumpet-shaped. From Greek: kyrtos, curved: anthos, flower: = curved flower tube.
