Plants slender or robust, leaves linear. Inflorescence in a lax spike with 1-15 flowers varying in colour from white to deep pink. Lateral sepals 10-20mm long. Spur obsolete, lip linear. filicornis meaning 'thread-like horn or lips', referring to the narrow, linear lip of this species
