Description

Plants up to 25cm high. Tuber subglobose, flesh deep-pink, growing point several, apical. Leaf is dry at flowering, erect, elliptical, ribbed. Flowers in a lax raceme, on a wiry peduncle, star-shaped, bright yellow, pedicels wiry, up to 20mm long. From Greek: erion, wool; sperma, seed: = seed covered with white hairs.
