Description

Plants 6-25cm high. Leaves 1-2, lanceolate or strap-shaped, often broadest in upper half, plain green or spotted with darker green or purple. Flowers coral to red with purple tips, slightly drooping, tepals 25-30mm long. From: Werner de Lachenal, d. 1800, professor of botany at Basel. rubidus = red
