Description

Plants 25-45cm high. Corm globose with tough fibrous tunics. Leaves tubular, hollow, mostly 8-14mm in diameter, truncate (squared off at the apex). Flowers in dense, two-ranked spikes, about 8mm long, blue to mauve, fragrant. Bracts dry, rigid, brown with broad membranous margins. From: Greek: micro - small, anthos - flower.
