Description

A low growing shrub to about 30cm. The very striking four-petalled, white to pale-pink flowers have beetroot coloured veins on the two larger upper petals. Five fertile stamens are present. The leaves are cordate in outline, usually 3-lobed with round-toothed margins. They are velvety and tending to grey in colour. candicans = 'hoary or woolly', referring to the leaves
