Description

Plants 60-120cm high. Corms depressed-globose. Leaves linear, strap-like, loosely twisted, ribbed, 10mm wide. Flowers bright orange, in open clusters borne on a branched stem. Bracts leathery and fibrotic. After fire it may be seen in spectacular sheets of colour. After: Neville Pillans, d. 1964, assistant curator of the Bolus Herbarium.
