In open short vegetation in sandy soils

September to December usually after fire

Description

A slender plant up to 35cm tall with oblong-lanceolate leaves that encircle the stem. Bracts elliptic-acute. The cream to sulphur yellow, hooded flowers turn reddish with age and they have an acrid scent. Lip deltate, flat. Frequently forms dense colonies.
