Variable. April to September.

Description

A rigid, stoutly branched shrub up to 1,2 m with small bunches of leaves. The flowers (6-17 mm long) are variable and may be smooth or hairy, dry or sticky, and have a wide range in colour (red, pink, orange, brown, yellow and green). A characteristic feature are the protruding, brown anthers which hang down from the slightly inflated flower tube.
