Description

Remarkable for its flowers' showiness and brilliance of colour. Erect shrub 600 to 700mm with umbels of four flowers or more at ends of branches. The flower is purplish pink with eight veins running longitudinally to a slightly constricted dark purple throat. The corolla is tubular 25 to 30mm long and the lobes turn back at the mouth looking like a frilly white bib. It is extremely sticky. Aristatus=with an awn, referring to the awns at the ends of the leaves.
