Sandy slopes and flats, mainly coastal.

Description

Plants 8-30cm high. Leaves 1 or 2, lanceolate or strap-shaped, plain or blotched. Flowers bright orange to red, cylindrical, nodding, with darker red or brown markings and green tips. From: W. de Lachenal, d. 1800, Professor of botany at Basel.
