Description

The sugarbird is about the size of a Bulbul, with a long ribbon-like tail (longer in the male) and long slender, de-curved bill which it uses to probe proteas and other flowers for nectar and insects. It is predominantly brown, streaked darker above, with a white belly and bright yellow under-tail. Common resident.
